In Transit


We are constantly bombarded with visual stimulation as we walk down the street in New York City, yet somehow our brains are able to process all of that input and make sense of the world around us. Why can I read an advertisement on a bus that passes me or the name of the subway stop as the train I am on pulls into the station? I would like to explore how distorted a letterform can be before it becomes unrecognizable.
