We are wrapping up our Zone of the Impending project for Interface. It feels good to compile all of our work into a proper set of deliverables, including a project proposal, prototype, and process map.

Here is a prototype I created for our visualization of e-waste.

Overall, I learned a lot during this project.

• When working in a group, MEET with your group. Sending emails or otherwise communicating electronically is not efficient. Setting aside time to sit down, in person, with your group will better prepare everyone for organizing thoughts and distributing work.
• Research is multi-layered. Look up the sources that your sources use, the people they talk about, the key words they use. Dig deeper, you will find good stuff.
• Push ideas further.
• Find patterns and run with them.
